The BVC Bears compete in Queensland's Premier Volleyball League - the highest level of volleyball available in Queensland.

With teams in both Senior and Juniors divisions, BVC Bears Trials are held at the beginning of each year with the competitive season running through to September.

Premier teams focus on competitiveness, excellence, and athlete development. They provide a pathway to selection in the Queensland Pirates and QLD Junior representative teams.

Divisional teams cater to everyone who wants to play, train and improve – all skill levels and experience welcome.
PVL
The Premier Volleyball League is the highest level of Volleyball in Queensland. BVC Bears have teams available across most Adult and Junior divisions.
Seasons and TRIALS
Team trials are held near the beginning of each year with competitive seasons finishing in September. For opportunities to join mid-season please email our Bears Manager.

About the Season

PVL SEASONS RUN FROM APRIL THROUGH SEPTEMBER

Trials for each season are held near the beginning of the year followed by preseason training.

PVL competition matches commence in April.
– Juniors play Friday evenings.
– Seniors play Sunday.
– Premier grade matches may also occur Saturday evenings.

Most teams train Tuesday and Thursday evenings at our Kelvin Grove venue with times varying across divisions.

All PVL teams have coaches, and our coaches are dedicated to player development and welfare. For opportunities to coach, please email our Bears Manager.

Bears Trials

Bears 2026 Trials will take place in early February at our Kelvin Grove venue with times varying across age group and division.

Tier 2 and U19 Girls (born 2008 or earlier)
- Sunday 8 Feb 2:00pm - 4:00pm
- Sunday 15 Feb 4:30pm - 6:30pm

COUNTRY CHAMPS

Country Champs is an annual tournament run by Volleyball Queensland in Regional Queensland. BVC Bears teams compete against clubs from all over Queensland.

Senior State Champs is an annual competition run by Volleyball Queensland on the Gold Coast. BVC Bears teams compete in a variety of divisions for the VQ State Championship and the VQ President's Shield.

Junior State Champs provides for a mid-season opportunity for our Junior and Youth PVL teams to compete against other clubs from around Queensland. This tournament run by Volleyball Queensland is usually held on the Gold Coast.
