Junior Premier Volleyball League
About Junior Premier League
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and it's junior competition is the highest level of Club Volleyball in Queensland. For Junior PVL, matches are played weekly on Sundays, often with 2 matches per week. The season runs from May to August each year, culminating in the State Championships at the end of August. PVL is run by Volleyball Queensland and across all adult and junior divisions there are 13 clubs that enter teams.
Divisions on offer are:
- Juniors Under 18 (Boys + Girls)
- Juniors Under 16 (Boys + Girls)
Age Restrictions
Athletes who are looking to compete in an U16 team must NOT be turning 16 years old in the calendar year of competition. Similarly, athletes who are wanting to play in an U18 team cannot turn 18 in that same calendar year.
BVC Bears
BVC enters teams in all divisions, and has a proud history of success, with 15 Premierships in the last 9 years and Overall Club Champions in 2009, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In 2016 BVC introduced a mascot to the club's representative teams which are now known as the Brisbane Bears.
BVC is committed to developing opportunities for Junior athletes, and we encourage all players who are interested to come along to trials. For players who do not make the eventual teams, we will look to provide other opportunities through our in-house Social Leagues or our Junior Training Squad.
2019 Trials
The BVC Committee and Coaches have decided to organise the 2019 junior trials on Tuesday nights, spread over multiple weeks, to give players the opportunity to attend as many sessions as possible. All girls trial sessions with be held at Clayfield. All boys trials sessions are at Churchie. Players are not required to attend all sessions, however we encourage everyone to attend as many as possible.
Details for trial sessions for all teams (Boys and Girls, U18 and U16) are below.
All players wanting to trial for the BVC Bears will need to register using the online registration form.

The Season
See the calendar table for a full list of dates for the season.
Match days Matches are played on Sundays, at The Gap State High School or Redlands College. Junior teams will play double header matches, and generally be required to do a duty each Sunday as well. This format keeps the competition's season short, whilst still maximising gameplay.
Draws, Results and Ladders Volleyball Queensland have their own website specifically for the Premier League competition where you will find Draws, Results and Ladders throughout the season. You can find this information here.
